Welcome to the fashion world and murder.  Laura Carnegie not only loves her job as a pattern maker  at Jeremy St. James  Fashions, she also is in love with her boss. . Only one problem  with this little one sided romance, Jeremy is gay or that’s  the rumor  that’s going around. As everyone is trying to get prepared for their big  showing on Friday night. When Gracie, Jeremy’s  partner  turns up dead and Jeremy is found  standing over the body, it’s not long before he is arrested for murder. Laura cannot believe that Jeremy could kill anyone and she out to become a  Jessica Fletcher  sleuth and solve this  murder on her own.  Along the way she runs into counterfeiters  of Jeremy’s brands along with a few  mobsters. Next thing you know Laura is in deeper trouble than what she bargained for. Can she solve this mystery  before the big Friday showing? Will she be able to prove Jeremy’s innocence or is he? Sometimes when we think we know people we find out we were  wrong  as Laura soon finds out.

I like a good cozy who dun it type book and I found this book to fit the bill. I found most of the characters to be likeable as with any book one will have a favorite  and Laura  was mine.  There were lots of twists and turns throughout as  I tried to figure out just who the killer was and also a lesson was learned about the fashion industry. If you are a cozy type mystery  reader than I think you will enjoy “Dead Is The New Black”

I received this  complimentary e-book  from Red Adept Select books. A positive review was not required and all opinions are strictly my own of the book.
